What does Khalfani mean?
Khalfani - kahl-FAH-nee is Swahili - East Africa meaning "Destined to Rule". The Khalfani Chapter adopted this meaning and added the words "one's Self" as in "Destined to Rule One's Self" to describe the importance of taking charge of yourself, your future, and your spiritual self"
Is the Khalfani Chapter only for African Americans?
No. The Khalfani Chapter welcomes people of all races, creeds, color, national origin, religion, age, sex, political affiliation, marital status or disability who are interested in supporting the goals of the Blacks In Government Organization for promoting equity, excellence and opportunity for all Americans.

We are a vehicle for opportunity. We are advocates for the advancement of not only African American employees but for all employees on areas of leadership enhancement and development and career progression opportunities.
What does it cost to join?
The cost to join Khalfani is $20 per year plus $35 per year for the National Blacks In Government Organization. Total cost is $55 annually.

When does Khalfani meet?
We schedule our meeting times during lunch hour once a month. Khalfani Chapter meetings are held in room 32A04 on the 4th Wednesday of each month at 11am. You don't have to be a member to attend our meetings. We hope that you will join us.

We are committed in giving back to the Organization as a Strategic Partner and through our participation and engagement in Career Development, Mentoring and Community Service programs.
